How To Book Tickets

Tickets are available to book through our website - please select an event and follow the instructions. Tickets are sent as e-tickets via email shortly after booking. These can either be printed at home or shown on your phone – please turn your phone screen brightness up before reaching the front of the queue though!

All booking fees and charges will be made clear to you before finalising your purchase.

You can also purchase tickets from Soundclash Records, 28 St Benedicts St, Norwich NR2 4AQ

Tickets ordered from UEA Ticking Bookings are only for your personal use and that of your party. We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased if there is any resale or attempted resale of tickets. The holder of a resold ticket may be refused entry or rejected from the venue.

Making an account

Our new website asks that you make an account with us. This is to ensure that we can get in touch if a gig cancels or moves, and is also a way for you to access your purchase history. Once you have made an account you will not need to again. If you call us to buy tickets over the phone, we will still make an account for you. If you don't want to make an account you can buy tickets from Soundclash Records at 28 St Benedicts St, Norwich, NR2 4AQ.

To make an account with us - please click the purple "register here" button on the main homepage, or the "register" button on the menu bar.

Validation email

If you have made an account with us but haven't yet received your validation email, please check your spam folder on your email. Our website is processing a large volume of requests and some email providers don't like receiving the validation email (mainly btinternet and AOL). If you still haven't received it, please call us on 01603 508050 or email us at boxoffice@uea.ac.uk and we will manually validate your account for you. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Refund Policy

Once you have purchased tickets, they can only be exchanged, refunded or returned in the following circumstances:

  • If we fail to fulfil an order as a result of any negligence, or similar act or omission of our own or in breach of contract the customer will be entitled to a full refund including any booking fee charged.
  • If the event is cancelled, postponed or material changes are made to the event, namely a change of the venue or the headline act, the original tickets that you have purchased will remain valid for the revised event (except for in the case of cancellation) unless otherwise advised. Tickets are not eligible for refunds when support acts are changed.
  • There will be no refund for lost, stolen or damaged tickets (save that duplicate tickets may be possible).

Ticket Agents

As well as our website and Soundclash Records, we work with the below ticket agents:

Other promoters may wish to work with different ticket agents, however they will always sell tickets through the UEA Ticket Bookings site.

Lost Tickets

If you booked through our website and can’t find your booking confirmation and e-tickets, simply log in to your account, click on your name in the top left hand corner and view your purchase history, which will list transaction numbers for all orders purchased on our website. Please bring the applicable transaction number along to the Box Office to gain access to the show. The lead booker will need to be present and may be asked for ID.

You can re-send the booking confirmation to your email by clicking the blue transaction number and clicking "resend email receipt". Unfortunately we are unable to resend e-tickets. If this does not work, please contact us on boxoffice@uea.ac.uk or 01603 508050. Our phone lines our open Monday-Friday between 10am and 4pm.

If you purchased through another ticketing website, please contact the ticket agent directly.

Ticket Collection

If your ticket is to be collected from the Box Office, this can only be done on the event day once the doors have opened. The Box Office for each venue is located just inside the main doors. The lead booker will need to collect the tickets and may be asked for ID.

Pre-sales

Pre-sale tickets are available for some events before General Sale begins. Pre-sales are available exclusively to subscribers of our mailing list. You can subscribe here

Reselling Tickets

Tickets can be sold on at face value through our facebook page. Tickets found being sold for more than face value will have their post deleted and the tickets may be invalidated.

Where tickets have a customer name on, they can not be resold and will need the named customer (who may be asked for ID) to be present to permit entry into the gig. Please check the event page for the specific show before reselling or purchasing resold tickets, as this information will be listed on the event page if such restrictions are in place.

Regrettably, we do not offer a waiting list for sold out shows.

Reserving Tickets/Paying On The Door

We cannot reserve tickets without payment and would always recommend booking in advance. However, tickets will be available to purchase on the door where events do not sell out in advance.

Travel/transport

The UEA LCR

The UEA LCR is based on campus at The University of East Anglia. From London take the M11/A11; just outside Norwich take the A47 (Southern Bypass) in the direction of Swaffham; the University is signposted off at the next exit.

If you are driving from the North or the Midlands, you can use the A47 via Kings Lynn, or the new A14 as far as Newmarket and then take the A11 to Norwich. UEA is situated on the outskirts of Norwich, around two and a half miles west of the city centre, just off the Earlham Road (B1108) which is one of the main roads out of the city.

If you have satnav, the University's postcode is NR4 7TJ

Parking for Gigs is in the Main Car Park. At the entry barrier, please press the green button to take a token. When you leave, take your car straight to the exit barrier and insert your token at the barrier for exit. There is no need to make payment. Free parking tokens are available from 30 minutes before doors open.

Dropping off - please drop off those attending gigs in the Main Car Park. The LCR is only a 2-minute walk from the car park.

Picking up - when collecting those who have attended a Gig, please do so from the Main Car Park. At the entry barrier take a token, and when you leave insert your token at the exit barrier. There is no need to make payment.

Please make sure that you do not lose your car park token, as a lost token fee is £12.

Please do not try to drop off and pick up directly outside the UEA LCR or in Union Place as this area is usually cordoned off during events for pedestrian safety, and can become congested very quickly.

The nearest National Rail station is Norwich.

There is a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue. First Buses 25 and 26 both service the UEA.

Mini cabs can be booked in advance and wait immediately adjacent to the main venue entrance for pick up.

The Waterfront and The Waterfront Studio

The Waterfront is situated in King Street close to Norwich City Centre and the Riverside leisure development. The Waterfront Studio is upstairs in the same building.

From the Ring Road, follow signs to Norwich City FC. As you come down hill and see Norwich City FC, carry straight on rather than on the main road, take the next right to continue on to King St, and you will find Waterfront in 800m to the right, set back from the road.

The nearest car park is Rouen Road car park, which is approximately 230m (251yds) away. Rouen Road car park has 4 disabled spaces and blue badge concession (buy 1hr and get another 1hr free). There is step free access from Rouen Road, however the route has a moderate to steep slope.

I’m holding an event, can you sell my tickets?

Yes! We’re very proud of our box office facility and are always happy to discuss selling tickets for other venues and events. Please contact us on boxoffice@uea.ac.uk with and we will send you an info pack that details how this service works.

Can I meet the band?

Sometimes! Some events will have a VIP or Meet and Greet ticket option – details of this will be listed on individual events pages. If there is no VIP or Meet and Greet option then unfortunately meeting the band is not within in our control. Sometimes bands will stay around after a show to say hello but we cannot make special arrangements on your behalf.

Can my band play your venue/support a band?

Possibly! Please email boxoffice@uea.ac.uk with “I want to play!” as the subject. We would prefer you email us instead of contacting us on Facebook.
