Armed Forces Society - Committee Meet and Greet

Come and meet the Armed Forces Society and learn about what the society and the UK Armed Forces have to offer for University Students!

Have you ever considered a career in the Armed Forces? If yes then you've come to the right place; if not then you're certainly not alone...

Many students who end up joining either the Army's Officer Training Corp, the Navy's University Royal Naval Unit or the RAF's University Air Squadron had never heard about them before coming to university and had certainly not considered a future in any of the three services. If you have a passion for adventure, leadership, flying or navigating the seas then one of the tri-service university groups is for you.

As a society we aim to promote the UK Armed Forces who offer students a salary to enjoy many adventurous activities such as:

• Parachuting
• Kayaking
• Scuba diving
• Sailing
• Rock Climbing
• Skiing
• Mountaineering

In addition to the above, you will receive tutorship that will develop you as a leader both personally and professionally with absolutely no obligation to commit yourself to a life in the military. Many students enjoy their time as part of a military group and then go on to live civilian lifestyles while others join up - it is entirely up to you. If you are even slightly considering joining one of the university groups then I emplore you to come for a chat so you can learn some more about what we do and what we can offer you. There will be students on hand from the RAF and Navy to answer any of your questions and there will be information available about the Army.
