Come along to this workshop and learn how to Linoprint. Everyone will create a design which can be used to make individual artworks or cards.

Come along to this one day workshop and learn how to Linoprint. Everyone will create a design which can be used to make individual artworks or cards. You will be guided through the process of creating a ‘key block’ which you will then print a number of times. All materials are included and by the end of the day you will have produced at least one linoblock and printed a small series of images. The courses are designed specifically for beginners as well as those looking for a mindful, relaxing art class. Andy’s workshops are suitable for all abilities with his relaxed approach giving beginners confidence and her depth of knowledge being a useful source for more confident artists to bounce ideas off. Participants should expect to come away from each workshop with fresh ideas as well as a renewed enthusiasm and creative drive.

Overbooking

Due to a number of no shows for events, each free event will be overbooked by 10% please turn up to your event 10 minutes early, if you are late you could lose your place.

If the event you would like to attend is fully booked, please do turn up on the day, with any money if needed, we will add you onto the event on a first come, first served bases, if people don’t show up. Please make yourself known to the Ambassador or register attendant.

What is Do Something Different?

The Do Something Different Programme is about trying a new activity and sparking your interests! We aim to encourage greater student interaction from across schools, liberations and courses that build your knowledge and skills as individuals. Perhaps you've been looking to try a new sport, attending a live music performance, or dabbling in an academic subject that piques your interest? We collate a wide variety of different activities happening across campus - from sports and games, to trips and extracurricular lectures! 

There's always something happening every single day, and most events are absolutely free or cost very little! The best events will return during the Do Something Different Festival in Semester Two - a week-long celebration in which teaching is suspended for you to try a huge range of activities!
