10th City of Ale launch party new date: Thursday 27th May 2021
Thank you so much for your booking for the 10th City of Ale launch party at The Waterfront. We had some great plans in place, not only for the party, but for the whole Festival. 45 pubs and 30 breweries had conjured up some fantastic events, and some brilliant-sounding brews.
Because of coronavirus and lockdown, the party and the Festival can’t take place as arranged this May, and, with social distancing rules likely to be in play for some time to come, planning anything for later in the year seems unrealistic. So instead of that, we are just going to take advantage of all the hard work and planning that has gone into City of Ale 2020 and use it to create an even better event for this time next year.
Our 10th Norwich City of Ale Festival will therefore take place Thursday 27th May to Sunday 6th June 2021 and the launch party will be at the Waterfront on the Thursday.
Your place is reserved for the party on Thursday 27th May 2021 and we very much hope you will be in a position to hold on to your ticket - and join us for our 10th Festival. Your vote of confidence by bearing with us until May next year will be much appreciated. You will be offering much needed encouragement to local breweries, and to the Festival, which can take place only through the support of people like you.
Of course, we know that these are tough times and if you would prefer a refund then please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a refund quoting your order reference number. As per the Waterfront conditions, all refunds will have the booking fee deducted. They too have bills to pay and no events to bring in any income, so we fully understand that they can’t waive the fee.
Our apologies for taking a bit of time to correspond with you about the party postponement. We hope you will be understanding about the fact that we have had our own personal and business problems to deal with in connection with lockdown, as well as sorting out the many issues around the overall City of Ale Festival. Whatever you decide to do, we thank you for your support, hope to see you at the party and on the ale trails next year, and – social distancing permitting – in the City of Ale pubs well before then!
Keep safe. Best wishes,
The City of Ale Team
