About Event
We are excited to be celebrating Lord Mayors with ex Norfolk Council Labour Councillor and drummer of iconic Britpop band Blur – Dave Rowntree!
Dave Rowntree is best known as the drummer for the band Blur. He is also a political activist for the Labour Party, a solicitor, an animator and writes music for film and TV. Born to musical parents in Colchester, he studied percussion at Landermere Music School on weekends. Dave played in various bands with childhood friend Graham Coxon, before hooking up with Damon Albarn and later Alex James forming the band Seymour, which later became Blur.
