A truly stunning live act, and on record to boot – Electric Jalaba began their journey exploring the entrancing overlap between electronic dance music and traditional Moroccan gnawa. The band have since found their own hypnotizing, electrifying and truly floor-filling sound, and they continue to explore this healing musical interface both in performance and on record. Their recorded music has become more considered, contemplative, but without losing it’s muscular commitment to making you move. Performing live their skills are now well honed, and with lead singer Simo Lagnawi at the helm they know exactly how to draw a crowd in, and uplift them.
