The UEA LCR is based on campus at The University of East Anglia. From London take the M11/A11; just outside Norwich take the A47 (Southern Bypass) in the direction of Swaffham; the University is signposted off at the next exit.
If you are driving from the North or the Midlands, you can use the A47 via Kings Lynn, or the new A14 as far as Newmarket and then take the A11 to Norwich. UEA is situated on the outskirts of Norwich, around two and a half miles west of the city centre, just off the Earlham Road (B1108) which is one of the main roads out of the city.
If you have satnav, the University’s postcode is NR4 7TJ
Parking for Gigs is in the Main Car Park. Please note that the car park is run by the University and is not affiliated with UEASU or The LCR.
The UEA Main Car Park is now controlled by an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system. Charges are collected by pay-on-foot machines in the Main Car Park. The Payment Machines are card / contactless only.
Dropping off – please drop off those attending gigs in the Main Car Park. The LCR is only a 2-minute walk from the car park.
Picking up – when collecting those who have attended a Gig, please do so from the Main Car Park.
CAR PARKING CHARGES CAN BE FOUND HERE> Car parking
Please do not try to drop off and pick up directly outside the UEA LCR or in Union Place as this area is usually cordoned off during events for pedestrian safety, and can become congested very quickly.
The nearest National Rail station is Norwich.
There is a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue. First Buses 25 and 26 both service the UEA.
Mini cabs can be booked in advance and wait immediately adjacent to the main venue entrance for pick up.
