Our last field trip of the year, to Kentwell Hall Tudor manor house in Suffolk!

History Society would like to invite you on our last field trip of this academic year.

 

We are heading to Kentwell Hall in Suffolk, a beautiful manor house dating back to the tudor period for their History Festival, when the grounds become populated with hundreds of living history enactors who represent periods of history form the Neolithic period right up to the present day!

We will be taking a coach for the hour and a half journey on Thursday 2nd June. We will depart at 9am from outside congregation hall, please arrive by 8:45 so we have time to get everyone on board and arrive on time. We aim to be back by 5:30, traffic allowing. 

 

The day will be spent outside, so please dress accordingly, with footwear that will be suitable for walking around the 30 acres of grounds and suitable protection from the weather, rain or shine!

There will be food available to purchase there, but you are also welcome to bring your own.

 

We are able to offer discounted tickets, which include coach travel, thanks to a grant form the Students' Union! They are limited in number, so make sure to grab yours while you can.

 

Social distancing may not be possible on the coach, therefore, to keep everyone on this trip safe, we do request that members who come on this trip are able to provide one of the following:

 

• Show proof of a full vaccination – remember second dose must be at least 14 days prior to the event – via NHS App or card.

 

• Natural immunity – based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of the event and the result shown on NHS App

 

• A negative lateral flow test, same day as the trip – results registered www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result. Lateral flow tests must be taken prior to attending the event, we will not be providing any lateral flow tests at the event.
