About Event

Founded in 2021 by Norwich-based brothers Jonny Silver (guitar/vox) and Kenny Pleasures (drums/vox), PleasureInc. have consistently gone out of their way to make music you can’t quite put your finger on. You’ll find them at the point where British indie sleaze collides with American hip hop: sweeping up offshoot shards of punk, funk and dance music. A deadly blend. Call it snog-pop. Call it sex-disco. Call it Peter-Crouch’s-new-favourite-band. Do not put your finger on it.

Recruiting the deadly tag-team of the Babyface Killa (keys/percussion) and Chilli Dawg (bass/guitar) into the live setup, the band have made a habit of selling out shows across the UK and Europe, filling venues in London, Brighton, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam and the fine Norwich City. Recent highlights include festival appearances at Left of the Dial, The Great Escape and Down the Rabbit Hole; a full UK/EU tour supporting Friday Pilots Club; love from BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists, 6Music New Music Fix and playlisting on Radio X’s Xposure with John Kennedy.

These guys are just great…nods in their musical DNA to Blur and Beastie Boys…so many influences you can hear throughout their music – hip-hop, psych, pop – and it’s all sandwiched together..it’s quite infectious the energy they give off. I love when artists aren’t afraid to use blueprints from the past, take it apart, piece it all back together to make their own individual sound. And that’s what PleasureInc. do so well.” Radio 1’s Future Artists

Choppy, deeply alternative pop…larger than life” Clash

“Dastardly familiar, yet hip-swingingly fresh…rolls up the echoes of early 10’s indie nostalgia inside an urgent, sugary burst of NOW” Hard of Hearing

“Danceable, groovy and slick – listening to PleasureInc feels very pleasurable indeed…This is party music, add it to your Sesh Tunez playlist” The Most Radicalist
