About Event

At the frontline of the UK ska-punk explosion, King Prawn smashed through genres with a mash up of musical styles, creating a sound uniquely their own.

Their wildstyle energy earned them two Kerrang! Award nominations and a reputation as one of the most explosive live acts on the circuit.

After four albums, world tours, and a sold-out farewell show at London’s Forum in 2003, the band desolved— only to re-emerge a decade later.
The 2013 rebirth as a 7-piece band with added brass section and keyboards, saw King Prawn return slicker, sharper, and as kick ass as ever.

Since then, they’ve torn up stages from Boomtown to Belgium, dropped their fifth album ‘The Fabulous New Sounds Of…’ and
recently added powerhouse drummer Tim MacDonald (Capdown) to the mix.
Now, in 2025, King Prawn are charging back to their punk roots with four new tracks ready for release and a new album in the works.
Three decades on, the Prawn are still raging and relevant as ever.

“One of the UK’s most innovative and infectious live bands.”
— Kerrang!
“Ska-punk with teeth – political, passionate, and impossible to stand still to.”
— Louder Than War
