About Event

Black Foxxes’s sound is a vivid tapestry woven from the threads of their diverse musical influences. Drawing inspiration from nature and artists such as Neil Young, Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey. They have cultivated a style that resonates deeply with fans of alternative and indie rock.

Black Foxxes has always been a form of catharsis and raw expression. It is a necessity that comes from within, not from external forces or market demands. The Core Philosophy: Raw Honesty, No Gimmicks. Mark Holley has spent the last 10 years of his living in incredibly remote parts of the world to connect to the land, people and nature. So much of the sound the band hones in on is created in that wild, rugged and real place. The process isn’t about writing “happy” or “sad” songs; it’s about channelling genuine emotion and finding a sense of hope and overcoming adversity.

For the last two years Mark Holley has been living off grid in the rocky mountains and the Yukon. Writing music, learning how to build and surviving in a very very hostile environment. Coming face to face with Grizzly Bears, black wolfs and getting stuck in snow storms in the arctic Tundra whilst running marathons, all of this is bedded into their new sound. Ultimately, their practice is about staying true to themselves and their artistic vision, keeping instinct and the chemistry between the players right at the forefront, and creating music that is authentic, vulnerable, and hopefully helps people the way music has always helped them.

Black Foxxes live shows are always unique. Every show different from one another. Some versions of songs turn into 30-minute transcendent jam sections, other shows offer short, raw, ragged versions. But it’s all real.

Their forthcoming live recordings album ‘Live At Vada’ comes out on February 13th 2026. Single ‘Badlands’ from ‘Live at Vada’ was released on 14th of November 2025 (Badlands Music Video).

About Badlands (from the band):

So grateful to have been able to capture this iteration of Badlands during that phase of the band. Badlands is a song that changes naturally over time.

Some early versions were hard and unrelenting, others reserved and minimalist. But this was definitely my favourite phase of the song.

This was recorded in one take. No edits. Coming in at just under 20 minutes it’s one of the shorter versions of Badlands from that time period. I love that we keep things fresh in this band. Never allowing ourselves for things to become formulaic and stale. Always putting full weight and importance on the playfulness of it all.
