DJ Workshop

An opportunity to learn how to mix on club standard CDJ 2000's with tutoring from experienced EMS DJ's!

Electronic Music Society brings you our DJ workshop!

Whether you enjoy DJing or are giving it a go for the first time, everyone is welcome!

Anyone interested in learning how to mix, we will be covering the basics and teaching you the ropes, so come and have a go at the Blue Bar on Friday night!

Overbooking

Due to a number of no shows for events, each free event will be overbooked by 10% please turn up to your event 10 minutes early, if you are late you could lose your place.

If the event you would like to attend is fully booked, please do turn up on the day, with any money if needed, we will add you onto the event on a first come, first served bases, if people don’t show up. Please make yourself known to the Ambassador or register attendant.

Accessibility

We're committed to making sure all Do Something Different events are as accessible as possible for all students.

This event has no special accessibility requirements, except that there will be loud music playing at the event. 

Any attendees with individual concerns about their accessibility are advised to contact Union Opportunities (Union.Opportunities@uea.ac.uk) for additional support. 

What is Do Something Different?

The Do Something Different Programme is about trying a new activity and sparking your interests! We aim to encourage greater student interaction from across schools, liberations and courses that build your knowledge and skills as individuals. Perhaps you've been looking to try a new sport, attending a live music performance, or dabbling in an academic subject that piques your interest? We collate a wide variety of different activities happening across campus - from sports and games, to trips and extracurricular lectures! 

There's always something happening every single day, and most events are absolutely free or cost very little! The best events will return during the Do Something Different Festival in Semester Two - a week-long celebration in which teaching is suspended for you to try a huge range of activities! Stay tuned for the full Festival programme coming soon!
