Music For Minds

Budding musician ready to learn or symphony expert? Music Society and the Music Centre invite you to come and play!

Are you an experienced musician or just starting out? Come and join the UEA Music Society and UEA Music Centre in our Music for Minds Concert. 

The Concert will feature the UEA Music Society Concert Band, UEA Music Society Choir and Community Choir, so whether you are staff, students or general public, any wind players, percussionists and vocalists are welcome.

The concert aims to celebrate the positive impact music has upon mental health and general wellbeing.

Play? 

UEA Music Society Concert Band will be performing famous film scores including Pirates of the Caribbean and Jurassic Park.

There will be an open Concert Band rehearsal for the concert on Thursday 21st February 7-9pm in the Music Centre Strode Room (MUS 0.28), which anyone taking part is welcome to come along to.

Sing?

UEA Music Society Choir and Community Choir will be performing You’ve Got A Friend by Carole King. It’s a lovely acapella version that the Music Society Choir have already been working on for a couple of weeks. 

If you’re interested, choir will be rehearsing on Thursday 21st February 5-6:30pm in the Music Centre Strode Room (MUS 0.28). You can get in touch with choir leader, Lucy (lucy.nichols@uea.ac.uk.), if you have any questions or would like to hear learning tracks for the piece. 

So whether you want to come and sing/play with us, or come and support a great cause as part of the audience, we would be delighted to see you there!
