*Fully Booked* Cryptic Escape Rooms Trip (Fri)

Friday 22 February 2019, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Cryptic Escape Norwich

Can you escape the room? Challenge your friends in the Do Something Different Festival to one of three exciting escape rooms!

Escape Rooms pit your wits and skills against a series of themed challenges that bar your escape. Can you beat the challenges and gain your freedom?

You will have the chance to take part in one of three exciting escape rooms available at Cryptic Escape:

  • The Laboratory of Dr Pasted: When an enigmatic biochemist vanishes from his lab, can you discover his secret elixir before the discovery is lost forever?

  • The Treasure of Green Beard: Can you find the mysterious treasure of the fabled Captain Green Beard before the old pirate's ghost entraps you within his lair?

  • The Haunted : The ghost of a little girl haunts this room. Can you disocver her hidden story and release her tormented spirit?

Meet the Do Something Different Ambassador at the entrance to Cryptic Escape promtly for 6:30pm to be checked in. If you are late, you may not be able to join the session, so we advise you plan ahead. You'll then be briefed by staff and then given the choice of which room you'd like to escape.

This session normally costs £16 per person, but we're subsidising 60% of the cost to bring it to you at £5pp.

Due to popularity, this event has been capped at 2 tickets per person. A maximum of 15 people are available on each slot. For additional spaces on the Saturday slot, please click here.

Please purchase a ticket above to book your place. Where possible, we will try to give a 100% refund if 1 weeks’ notice of cancellation is given. Refunds with off-campus trips are not guarenteed.

Accessibility

We're committed to making sure all Do Something Different events are as accessible as possible for all students.

This event has no special accessibility requirements. The "Haunted" Room is based upon a true story, and some students may find this disturbing.

Any attendees with individual concerns about their accessibility are advised to contact Union Opportunities (Union.Opportunities@uea.ac.uk) for additional support.

What is Do Something Different?

The Do Something Different Programme is about trying a new activity and sparking your interests! We aim to encourage greater student interaction from across schools, liberations and courses that build your knowledge and skills as individuals. Perhaps you've been looking to try a new sport, attending a live music performance, or dabbling in an academic subject that piques your interest? We collate a wide variety of different activities happening across campus - from sports and games, to trips and extracurricular lectures!

There's always something happening every single day, and most events are absolutely free or cost very little! The best events will return during the Do Something Different Festival in Semester Two - a week-long celebration in which teaching is suspended for you to try a huge range of activities! Stay tuned for the full Festival programme coming soon!

If you had a great time at a DSD event, make sure you head to the website and leave your feedback and stories! Tell us about your ideas and what you want to see under Do Something Different.
