Mike Tramp, the legendary White Lion singer, songwriter, and front-man, stepped out on his own for the first time in 1995, and began his, now 23 year long, solo career. With 10 consistent quality solo albums to his name, and with the 11th released in early 2019, Tramp has never strayed from his path, and is charging forward with confidence, and not looking back.

Tramp says, “To me, it really just about knowing who I wanted to be, and what I wanted to sound like, when I recorded my first solo album 22 years ago. I just wanted to be me, and I am damn proud of the fact that I stuck to my guns. White Lion was a chapter and a journey I was on, and I suppose it was a one-way ticket, with no return. The hair and look of the 80’s may be gone, but the songs live on, and I think are stronger than ever. To tame the big sound of the 80’s, and bring it down to just an acoustic guitar and voice, is both a challenge and a joy for me. Still the truth is that people don’t know that most of these big rock songs, started out in a “folk music style” in a Brooklyn, NY basement. It is my musical background of how I grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark in the 60’s and 70’s. And now 43 years later, it’s what I do on the endless highway. I am me, 24 hours a day, and I don’t have to put make up on or become a character. I am the same person when I shop at Walmart, or when I am on stage playing, singing and telling stories. I invite the audience with me on my journey through life, and it’s here that I’ve found peace and happiness. I have come home.”

Mike Tramp; truly one of life’s troubadours, and a thoroughly nice guy to boot.
