Funeral For A Friend is one of the last remaining bastions of the British hardcore scene that exploded into the mainstream at the turn of the century. Bursting out of Bridgend, South Wales, in 2001, Funeral For A Friend were hailed as the saviours of rock music from a young age and given the task of re-energising a scene in desperate need of fresh blood. Placebo will embark on their biggest UK and Irish tour in recent years, starting on 25th February with a sold out show at the Olympia in Dublin and ending with two nights at Hammersmith Apollo in London on the 24th and 25th March. The tour will allow fans to catch a glimpse of the band’s new line up, with old friend, and former Colour of Fire drummer Matt Lunn, joining the fold as the new touring drummer.
